National Finalists Announced for the Coveted SheSails Award

The SheSails Award was introduced in 2018 and recognises an individual, group, class or club that makes an outstanding contribution, promotion and/or administration of female participation in sailing. Three incredible finalists have been selected from amongst the state awards winners for the national SheSails Award, with the winner to be announced at the Australian Sailing Awards on Friday November 3.

Blow me one last KISS

Queenscliff Cruising Yacht Club’s successful second running of their KISS (Keelboat Introduction to Sailing Savvy) program for women, by women, came to its pinnacle on Saturday 26 August 2023 with the 26nm Passage Rally from Brighton to Queenscliff. An early departure for the seven boats saw the 26 participants from around Victoria, take up lead roles of Helm, Navigator and Radio Operator supported by their boat owners and mentors.

The team work and camaraderie is really rewarding and so many people give so much time, energy and expertise to the sport, volunteering to provide opportunities at all levels. It's a great example of the good people can do when they come together with a common interest.
