Ocean Respect Racing makes it a record 40 entries for Australian Womenâ€™s Keelboat Regatta

A record 40 entries will take part in the 2019 Australian Womenâ€™s Keelboat Regatta (AWKR), hosted by Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron (RMYS) over this long weekend; the 40th entry coming from Ocean Respect Racing and to be headed by well-known sailing identity, Katie Spithill.

Women dominate in 2019 Arafura Games

The multi-sport event held in Darwin attracted over 1500 athletes from 40+ nations across the Asia Pacific Region. Sailing participated as an Open Grade 3 Match Racing event using the Darwin Sailing Club Elliot 7 fleet. Uncharacteristically for sailing the female sailors outweighed the men in the final count on registration day, something that none of us expected!
