Please become a volunteer if you have the time. It is very rewarding while you are learning so much about Race Management. There are different tasks to learn which are very important especially when starting and finishing races and then keeping an eye on the fleets during the race/races.  Such a friendly atmosphere on the Committee Boat and I find it very rewarding

I love the independence I have as a sailor. I enjoy sailing interdependently and as part of a team. I have visited places I might not have gone to if it hadn't been for sailing. I'd love to sail every day if I could as it makes me feel calm and happy.

Connells Point Sailing Club

Connells Point Sailing Club held its first-ever She Sails program on Sunday the 26th of March with 7 women taking part under the guidance of two instructors and three volunteers. This was one of their two-day She Sails programs. The 2nd She Sails program was on the 2nd of April, which was a very uplifting and positive day.

Success for 2023 Mooloolaba Women’s Keelboat Regatta, May 5-7

Competition was close last weekend in one of Queensland's most popular women's sailing events, the 2023 Mooloolaba Women’s Keelboat Regatta. The event has gone from strength to strength, having won the 2022 National SheSails award for outstanding contribution to women’s sailing.

With destination regattas and and travel back in full swing, Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron (RMYS) is looking forward to hosting a large entry for the 31st Australian Women’s Keelboat Regatta (AWKR), to take place over the King’s Birthday weekend of 9-12 June - and the first entrant has already booked her spot.

Portland Yacht Club Wins Women's Participation Initiative of the Year

Portland Yacht Club’s Britta Baade has seen women’s confidence on the water flourish through its SheSails program. The program was recognised at the 2023 South West Community Sports Awards on Wednesday night, with the club awarded women’s participation initiative of the year. Baade said the award meant a lot to the club and for women’s sailing in general.
