After two years of COVID disruptions and re-schedules, the 2022 Mooloolaba Women’s Keelboat Regatta will be hotly contested on the Mooloola River from May 13 to 15, by teams from up and down Australia’s east coast.

Queenscliff Cup Easter Regatta 2022 celebrates female sailors

Queenscliff Cruising Yacht Club hosted their annual Queenscliff Cup regatta over Easter 2022 weekend, this year with the inclusion of a two-race series for female helms within the racing program, the inaugural Commodore’s Trophy.

The SheSAILS Tri-Series at Lake Macquarie

The highlight of women’s racing on Lake Macquarie concluded with the last race of the SheSAILS Tri-Series on 20 March hosted by Wangi Amateur Sailing Club (WASC). The series was developed casually between the three competing clubs which included Lake Macquarie Yacht Club (LMYC) and Royal Motor Yacht Club Toronto (RMYCT).

Goolwa SheSails into Clayton Bay

The historic river-port town of Goolwa is located near the mouth of the River Murray. Some 12 kilometres upstream from Goolwa is Clayton Bay on the Murray, near Lake Alexandrina and the Lower Lakes. Within the sailing fraternity, the region is best known for the “Milang to Goolwa Freshwater Classic”, attracting hundreds of trailerable yachts to race in January each year.

Beautiful blue skies, sunshine and a light breeze for the 1st Race of the Port Phillip Women’s Championship Series

After a Gale Force Saturday, Sunday turned out to be a great day to go sailing! There was plenty of sunshine, blue skies and a light breeze from the Southwest. The 17 entrants from HBYC, RYCV, RMYS, SYC and RBYC all arrived at the start on time and were all enthusiastic to be racing against each other again.

Port Phillip Women’s Championship gears up for 2021-22 Series

As restrictions start to ease in Metro Melbourne, we are hopeful that the Port Phillip Women’s Championship Series (PPWCS) can go ahead anticipating a full five race day calendar in 2021 - 2022. The first race the Shirley Freeman Memorial Trophy is planned for November 28th at Hobsons Bay Yacht Club.

Mooloolaba Women’s Keelboat Regatta Set to Sail October 29 to 31

The third annual Mooloolaba Women’s Keelboat Regatta is set to sail this coming weekend, with eight teams of women from around Queensland competing on the challenging short-course Mooloola River. Training and social racing is scheduled for Friday, while the serious racing will start early on Saturday, October 30 and run through Sunday.
