Preparation is well under way for SAWKR 2026 on the SA October Labour Day long weekend (3-5 October 2026) and registrations are NOW OPEN.
SAWKR is for women skippers and crews only. It aims to build women’s participation, skills and pathways into sailing, and to build our leadership, competition, and camaraderie.
SAWKR is one of the largest keelboat regattas on the South Australian sailing calendar and a unique addition to the growing national women’s sailing calendar. Joining us from across Australia, our competitors, visitors, and wonderful volunteers make this a vibrant and inclusive event.
We’re pumped to have Lou Hutton back as SAWKR’s Principal Race Officer. Based with the Royal Melbourne Yacht Club, Lou brings extensive national experience to our event. Three divisions will race out of Gulf St Vincent and the Port River.
