The Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron’s annual Ladies of the Sea Coaching Regatta will take place from Friday 29 September to Sunday 1 October, 2023.

The event aims to challenge and nurture female  sailors, with mentors providing the opportunity for all to enhance their capabilities, build confidence and develop skills on the water.

A mix of on-water and on-shore events, the regatta places emphasis on creating a safe, welcoming and sociable environment.  Each morning begins with Pilates sessions overlooking Sydney Harbour followed by a coached session led by some of Australia’s most notable yachtswomen.  In the afternoon participants will have the opportunity to test their skills against each other in a short race series.

This regatta is open to keelboats and one design fleets, spinnaker and non-spinnaker yachts and teams with an all-female crew and a female helm with a mixed gender crew.

We have a great line up of experience joining us including Nickie Jones, Lisa Blair, Kathy Veel, Bridget Cunham, Lindy Hardcastle, Peta Norris, Nic Douglass, Marike Koppenol, Kirsten Kosmala (OLY), Julie Clarke, Annabelle Connery and Claudia Thackray.  Britnee Whitelaw will also be back for our early morning Harbourfront Pilates sessions.

Sunday night we will wrap up the weekend with our ‘Women Celebrate Sailing’ dinner.

We do have interest from females wanting to join a boat.  Please let us know if you have room for any extras.  If you want to join an Elliot, or an Elliot with an instructor again we have interest from others and we can connect you.  You will also need to contact us in advance of registration so we can provide a boat name for you and your crew to register.
